Everytime I see pictures of students, teachers, and parents from across the nation for the "SEE YOU AT THE POLE DAY" I am inspired by my Christian colleagues who choose to work in the public school system. Our student's need to know their are Christian adults by their side, who support them, love them, and care for them at school everyday.
There are many people who have such a misinterpreation of the public school that it frusterates me. Most of the comments made by people have never stepped foot into the public school and nor do they have any formal research to back their opionons, rather it is hear say. The power of the public school system should not be underestimated. People don't even understand the rules and regulations that schools have to properly and formerly educate and care for students. It amazes me the rigorous curriculum students are being taught at such an early age, and how academically challenged they are.
I am so thankful to work with some of the most amazing staff, colleagues, and friends who care so much about students personally, academically, and socially. I am continually blessed to work and live in Ankeny that thrives on the excellence of education, formally challenges staff each and everyday to be a mastery in their content area, and care about the social and physical developments of all children.
A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.-Henry Brooks Adams
